Get to Know
Dr. Qian Lin

Helping patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles with compassionate care.

Boston Dentist Qian Linn

Dr. Lin says that dentistry is about much more than simply giving a patient attractive teeth. She loves collaborating with everyone she treats to come up with the perfect care plan for the individual, and then she uses this relationship to improve their smile, health, and self-esteem all at once. Before you have a chance to visit us and meet Dr. Lin in person, you can learn a little more about her below.

Why Did You Decide to become
a Dentist?

A couple of important experiences brought Dr. Lin to dentistry. Firstly, as a child, she liked to snack, and this resulted in her needing to undergo root canal therapy. Fortunately, she got to go to a “fancy” dental office and experienced immediate relief from her dental pain, which she said felt like magic! She also always received good grades and was skillful with her hands, so a family friend recommended she pursue a dental career.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Lin earned her dental degree from the prestigious Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. While there, she was included on the Dean’s List every year and awarded a merit-based scholarship. In addition to receiving didactic and clinical training, she was selected to participate in an advanced periodontics program as well as an advanced health literary program.

Now, much of her free time is taken up by pursuing continuing education, often through well-known institutions like Spear Education.

Dr. Lin is also an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the Boston District Dental Society.

Outside the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Lin was born and raised in Fujian, China, and she comes from a very large family that includes over 20 cousins! She is a very avid hiker and used to get up at 4 AM to hit the trails before classes began in dental school. These days, she also practices aerial yoga to stay fit and active. To relax, she likes to drink tea, take care of “too many” plants at home, and play Zelda to improve her hand dexterity.
